Welcome to Wound Care Consultants Ltd. Since 2013, we have been delivering professional clinical guidance and independent expert witness services.
Our specialised team is passionate about wound care. We are committed to improving patient outcomes and setting the standard for trust, innovation, and compassionate practice across every service we provide.
The Team are Trish, Sarah, Jill and Sylvie and we have worked as a Team over 20 years - even before WCC was formed.
Who We Are
Wound Care Consultants is a team of dedicated healthcare professionals specialising in the management and treatment of complex, chronic, and non-healing wounds and we have clients across the world.
Led by our Principal Consultant, Sylvia Hampton, an internationally recognised expert in tissue viability, wound management, and nursing standards of care, we offer balanced, objective, and evidence-based clinical analysis.
To ensure a truly multidisciplinary approach, we also maintain a trusted network of consulting experts in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and diabetic foot wounds. We bring specialised care to patients in the comfort of their homes, assisted living facilities, and skilled nursing facilities, bringing the clinic directly to you.
Our Commitments
Absolute Independence
Our primary duty is to provide unbiased, evidence-based science regardless of the instructing agency.
Evidence-Based Rigor
Every opinion and clinical action is anchored in peer-reviewed tissue viability literature and established nursing guidelines.
Exacting Transparency
Every conclusion is explicitly traced back to source clinical documentation, ensuring robust reasoning that withstands cross-examination.
Compassionate Care
We recognise the human impact behind each case, always prioritising dignity, independence, and patient quality of life.
Clinical Expertise
Operating at the intersection of healthcare and law, our medico-legal division ensures evidential integrity, regulatory compliance, and procedural fairness. Backed by rigorous training from Bond Solon, we dissect medical records, care logs, and physical evidence across a wide spectrum of tissue viability and clinical care failures.
We provide authoritative Condition and Prognosis Reports that assist in quantifying claims, establishing future care costs, and illustrating the long-term impact of substandard care.
Our forensic analysis translates clinical complexity into transparent, defensible reports for police, coronial courts, and the CPS and we often eport on manslaughter cases.
Fighting for your Rights
When illness or injury meets the legal system, patients often find themselves twice disadvantaged: once by their condition, and again by the processes meant to resolve it. The medicolegal realm, where medicine, insurance, and law overlap, is built on documentation, deadlines, and precedent. It rarely bends toward the person at the centre of it. Fighting for the rights inside that system is not about confrontation. It is about clarity, evidence, and refusing to be reduced to a file number.
Where harm has occurred, the path forward is procedural before it is adversarial. Complaints, independent reviews, regulatory bodies, and expert medical opinions each serve a different purpose, and each carries its own time limits. Missing a deadline can close a door that evidence alone cannot reopen. This is where independent medicolegal expertise matters most: translating clinical detail into language a court, insurer, or tribunal will recognise, and separating what happened from what can be demonstrated.
Patient should not have to become an expert in law to receive fair treatment in medicine. But knowing where their rights sit, and having people who will argue alongside them, changes what is possible. That is the work we exist to do.
