Diabetic Foot Ulcers
We take health care personally because true excellence goes beyond medicine and machines. It lives in the moments when quality of life improves, when pain eases, and when a wound finally closes. Those moments matter. They remind us why we care, why we persist, and why healing will always be a source of joy to us as well as out clients.

Diabetic foot ulcers are wounds on the foot associated with diabetes, where reduced sensation, poor circulation and altered foot shape combine to allow small injuries to progress unnoticed. They require prompt, specialist attention because the risk of infection and deeper tissue involvement is significant.
What this service involves
Neurological and vascular assessment, including Doppler studies
Pressure offloading with footwear, insoles, boots or casting
Debridement of callus and non-viable tissue at the wound margin
Infection assessment, swabbing and escalation where bone is a concern
Blood glucose, footwear and self-care review to prevent recurrence
Structured surveillance of both feet after healing
Who it is for
Anyone with diabetes who has a break in the skin of the foot, a callus with underlying discolouration, reduced sensation, or a previously healed ulcer at risk of returning.
What to expect
Offloading is the single most important factor and often produces improvement within weeks. We review frequently in the early stages, and once healed you move onto a prevention and monitoring plan to protect both feet.
